The Training and Development Center (TDC) provides technical, clinical, and professional training to all levels of ProCure staff, as well as to outside users such as physicians, radiation therapy providers, technicians and support teams, university students, and vendors. The Programmer/Computer Application Developer is part of the physics research team and will be primarily responsible for leading efforts in the development of computer-based applications to support the broader Technology, Medical Physics, and Operations missions of ProCure.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Lead the development of treatment planning visualization and optimization applications.
- Develop distributed computing schemes for computationally-intensive applications.
- Design and develop integrated user environments (e.g. GUIs) for related applications.
- Develop database and data networking schemes to integrate data across multiple facilities.
- Assist in the development of training curriculum for computer applications.
- Assist in writing documentation and user’s manuals for computer applications.
- Coordinate activities with corporate IS manager (dotted line responsibility).
Performs other related duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- B.S. in Computer Science or related discipline
- Four or more years of post-college experience in programming and application development
- Experience in a scientific programming environment
- Familiarity with modern scripting languages: PHP, Perl, CGI, Python
- Experience with object-oriented programming languages, especially C#
- Experience with XML
- Experience developing graphical user interfaces in the Visual Studio environment
- Experience developing RIA’s is highly desirable, but not required
- Experience with real-time database applications is desirable, but not required
- Good communication and writing
